Unlimited Allowances

Tawk Network Limited’s unlimited bundles are truly unlimited where usage is appropriate to subscription type. Inappropriate usage would be considered as the following:

  • Any usage outside normal commercial practice
  • Any usage made via automated means (also see Gateway/AIT FUP)
  • Any usage that damages or impairs the hosting network
  • Any usage considered fraudulent, abusive, illegal or a nuisance
  • Data usage where users regularly tether to 12 or more devices or have used 650GB of data twice within a 6-month period
  • Data usage where roaming outside of the UK and exceeding more than 20GB within a single billing period. 

The relevant per MB charge will apply as standard after the initial 20GB roaming fair usage allowance is exceeded. This applies to all Vodafone and O2 tariffs from the 1st August 2023.

  • UK to EU international minute usage above 3000 minutes within a single billing period

We may investigate usage in order to ascertain whether your unlimited usage is in line with these guidelines. In the event inappropriate usage is determined then we reserve the right to restrict services, adjust the plan or terminate the agreement based on the severity of the misuse.

 

Data Roaming 

Below are our standard international data roaming rates for Zones 1,2, 3 & 4:

  • Roaming RoW Zone 1 – Data per MB £0.18
  • Roaming RoW Zone 2 – Data per MB £0.68
  • Roaming RoW Zone 3 – Data per MB £1.70
  • Roaming RoW Zone 4 – Data per MB £6.00

Data roaming is part of some of our international roaming plans and can include Zones 1,2 & 3. Please note, Zone 4 is not included in any of our roaming plans and is charged at £6.00 per MB.

All roaming plans which include roaming data come with a 20GB per month fair usage policy if subscribed, after which the standard pence per MB will apply. 

 

Roaming Policy Terms

Inclusive roaming services on our mobile tariffs have been built for business users who travel periodically, and not those who roam across foreign networks on a semi-permanent or permanent basis. 

If a customer uses their mobile in destinations outside the UK that qualify for inclusive access to standard bundles (this includes those countries that qualify for daily roaming services such as World Travel Select and/or legislation such as Roam Like At Home), and they have spent more time abroad than at home with their roaming use exceeding their domestic use, we will consider them a permanent roamer and charges will apply in line with our standard roaming out of bundle costs. 

Please be aware that roaming activity will continue to be measured over a four-month period. Please note, Tawk Network Limited reserve the right to disconnect subscriptions and apply a standard Cease and Termination fee per subscription, in instances where terminations occur due to breach of listed policies.

 

Voice Tariffs 

Most of Tawk Network Limited’s voice tariffs include bundled SMS and data allowances, in addition to inclusive minutes. The purpose of these tariffs is to cater for appropriate end-user consumption where the subscription is utilised within a smartphone, or similar voice-enabled device. Where voice tariffs are used for non-appropriate consumption, such as data only, Tawk network limited reserve the right to restrict services, adjust the plan or terminate the agreement based on the severity of the misuse. 

Data Top Ups

Data top-ups are a way to manage mid-month data allowance increases. Like our traditional data bolt-ons, these can be added at any point during a billable month, however these also offer the full bundle allowance, for the full price, until the end of that particular billing period.

Data top-ups are now only available on selected Vodafone and O2 tariffs.

Points of note:

> Data top-ups offer the full bundle allowance, for the full price, regardless of the date of application, until the end of that particular billing cycle and onwards, with no complicated pro-rata billing adjustments

> Data top-ups offer Mobile Phone Number (MPN) level data only – they are not shared.

> Only a single data top-up per MPN per month can be applied, but this can be applied at any point.

> Data top-ups cannot be back dated, and in addition they will not re-rate legitimate out of bundle spend if users have used up their inclusive allowance and incurred charges.

Gateways/Artificially Inflated Traffic (AIT) 

Tawk Network Limited does not allow SIMs to be used in any equipment which enables the routing of calls or data (including, without limitation, text or picture messages) from fixed apparatus or standard devices to mobile equipment, by establishing a mobile-to-mobile call or transmission. Nor does it allow the use of any equipment which enables the sending of bulk SMS, voice or data services. Tawk Network Limited reserves the right to suspend without notice should we believe that such equipment is being used. During suspension, the liability for any access charges or calls will rest with the customer.

 

PAYU Tariff

As Bill Limits are not available on our PAYU tariff, we made the decision to discontinue the tariff for new orders however, we will continue the tariff for customers that are already connected. We would recommend upgrading to one of our bundled plans if call usage is significant or you require data usage.

Terms 

Please note any defined terms used in these Additional mobile terms have the same meanings as set out in Tawk Network Limited’s General Conditions for Communications Services (the “Agreement”). 

The Additional Mobile Terms 2023 may be amended and re-issued from time to time by Tawk Network Limited.
